Choose your certificate and requested dates, complete an online assessment, and submit it for doctor review. A certificate is issued only if the doctor approves it.

Medigate offers work, study and carer’s certificate assessments. You must be at least 18 to submit a request. Each service page lists the available durations and prices in Australian dollars.
Check what your workplace or institution needs before you start. Some situations involve their own forms or extra supporting information. Contact our team first if you are unsure whether the service fits your requirements.

The form asks for your details, relevant health information and the dates you are requesting. Carer’s requests also ask about the person you are caring for and your relationship to them. Give accurate information so the doctor can consider the request.
You begin online without booking an appointment. The doctor may contact you if more information is needed. Keep an eye on the contact details you provided after submitting.

A doctor makes the decision
An AHPRA-registered Australian doctor reviews your request and decides whether a certificate is appropriate. Submitting and paying for an assessment does not guarantee a certificate or the duration you requested.
Review hours are 6am–midnight, seven days a week (Sydney time). Delivery timing depends on the assessment, including whether more information is needed.
If your request is declined, you receive a full refund. You are welcome to make another request, which will be assessed on its own circumstances.
Read the service termsReceive your certificate if approved
Approved certificates are delivered by email. Check your inbox and spam folder, and make sure you can access the address you supplied. If you need help with delivery, contact the support team.
Share the certificate with the relevant recipient using their usual process. Each certificate includes a QR code for authenticity checks. If a detail appears incorrect, ask Medigate for help rather than editing the document yourself.
