How to verify a Medigate medical certificate

Option one: scan the QR code

Open your phone’s camera or QR reader and scan the code printed on the certificate. The code opens that certificate’s verification page.

Check that the page is on www.medigate.com.au before relying on it. If the QR code is unclear or you prefer not to scan it, open Medigate’s website yourself and use the manual verification option.

Option two: enter the certificate details

Open the public verification page. You do not need to sign in to use the form. Find the reference number and patient surname on the certificate, then enter them into the labelled fields.

• Use the reference number from the certificate
• Enter the patient’s surname, not the recipient’s name
• Check spelling and any copied characters
• Select Verify certificate and read the result

Understand what verification tells you

A successful check confirms that the certificate is valid and was issued by Medigate. Follow the result’s link to view the available certificate details and compare them with the document you received.

This is an authenticity check. It does not decide workplace leave, special consideration or whether a document meets another organisation’s requirements. Apply your organisation’s usual process separately.

If you cannot verify the certificate

Check the reference number and surname against the document and try again. A mistyped detail or technical problem can prevent a successful check; an unsuccessful attempt alone is not a reason to assume fraud.

If the details still do not match, contact Medigate support for help. Certificate details can contain personal information, so avoid sharing the document or its verification link publicly.
